The best course of action to take with the scammer calls is to find out what telephone service they use and report Fraud/Abuse to them directly. It can be found online usually.
The Do Not Call Registry is a fraud and a waste of taxpayer's money. If they actually DID anything to stop these calls to the public there would be a decrease in them, NOT AN INCREASE!!
I got a call from this number this morning (11/17). The ID showed up as "Customer Help." Ha! I actually got through to a sales rep but, when I was spelling her name as I wrote it down, she hung up.
Here's what really annoys me: when I call the number I get an automatic answering system at AT&T. And I can't get anyone at AT&T to deal with the issue. I did have someone there advise me to call my provider. I did that, then, because the number is on the national "do not call" registry, I called and filed a complaint with the FTC at 1 877 382-4357.
Automated message for "discount dental insurance". You can phone back and press 2 to remove as someone above stated. i don't think you should even have to do this if you are on the Do Not Call list though. I took poster aboves advice and called the FTC at 877-382-4357. It was pretty quick (about 2-3 minutes) and painless. They ask for your name/phone/address, the company that called phone number and name if you have it and when they started calling. If enough people start filing complaints maybe we can get rid of some of these dirtbag phone telemarketers.
I get repeated calls from this number. I don't who it is but I do not answer phone calls from phone numbers I am not familar with. I am also on the "Do not call" registry. I also filed a complanit with the FTC at 877-382-4357 Thanks to the other Great Harassment
