The best course of action to take with the scammer calls is to find out what telephone service they use and report Fraud/Abuse to them directly. It can be found online usually.
The Do Not Call Registry is a fraud and a waste of taxpayer's money. If they actually DID anything to stop these calls to the public there would be a decrease in them, NOT AN INCREASE!!
this number has called multiple times and when I answer I get no response from the other end. Have tried calling back and it is a marketing message group.
Call and get a message about lowering my credit card bills and that mail sent to me goes unanswered. When I press "1" to talk to someone about removing my phone number they hang up on me.
A while ago I learned that when we answer the solicitous calls and push a number to cancel, we actually confirm our phone number and it will be sold as part of a list to telemarketers. best thing to do is to ignore those call and report them to the FTC or NDNCL.
Same thing happened to me. They call almost every 2 days and I keep trying to be removed from their list but they hang up when I tell them I'm not interested in a credit card, please remove me from your list.
206-496-0486, 617-390-4562, 971-220-1179, 802-230-6357, 513-417-0498, 303-249-9700. These numbers are all from the same source because the messages are identical. It's a credit card scam. They call me twice a day for the last 2 months and every message implied that it's the final notice, but they keep calling back. I reported everyone of the calls to the NDNCL.
