Received one call from this company 6/6 and three calls on 6/7 offering to lower our credit card interest rate. Likewise, we were disconnected when we stayed on the line to complain. We have literally had scores of calls from this company over the last year. We are filing a Do-Not-Call Complain form with our state's attorney general.
First of all, your name should be "anon" not "annon"...second of all, WE all know that pressing any number to have your number removed NEVER works. Why on earth would you do ANYthing some scammer tells you to do? All you're doing is confirming you're a "live" number and you'll get more calls from every scumbag scammer everywhere. The rest of us know all about "Rachel" and "Heather" and your number does NOT get removed. They might get tired of calling and never getting a response, but removed b/c you press 1 or 2 or whatever? Not gonna happen!
Hey Anon...I like many other people have pressed the "1" button to be removed from their commercial listing and these a-holes keep calling. I also, like many others on here have filed a complaint with the FCC and I agree, they need to get off their [***] and enforce the law. It's to the point now that if I don't recognize the number on my caller ID, I simply don't pick up the phone. My next step is just to get the land line disconnected so I won't have to deal with these annoying calls.
Jakedog is right. I've been on the Do Not Call list a couple of years and for the last 4 months or so the calls are getting worse and worse. I've reported 2 numbers in the last 3 days. I work nights and sleep during the day. The phone calls wake me up 3 to 4 times a week from these scammers. I'm also thinking about ditching the land line.
