Same MO as those below but this operator was a bit dumber that some of those described below. I asked who she got my number from and she said the resource department. I then told her that it was the resource department that tried to infect my computer last week and asked why she wanted to help me with something that her company caused,,, the phone went silent and then she asked what number tried to infect my computer - - - duh! She offered to hang up and I suggested that was to her advantage.

Clearly a scam - tried to tell me it was Windows service but I have a MAC so knew it was a scam (really - Windows service!)... Don't take these people seriously - they are trying to get you to download a virus or steal data...

just got a call from them saying my computer is infected, showed me the infections then wanted me to pay them $149 to upgrade my internal security of my computer for a year to get rif of the virus, thank god i googled thier call back # i knew this was a scam..
I received a call from a Sam Watson from Windows Spc Services and said he could fix my computer problems now with a $249 dollar package. All he needed was my credit card number but I would not give him any information. I did turn on my computer and he had me download TeamViewer. He proceeded to take control of my computer and show me where the errors were. I asked Sam again if this was a scam and he proclaimed, "no, no, no ma'am we just want to fix your computer". Moral of the story do not let strangers take control of your computer because they could make it vulnerable to security.
Scam. Just received a call from phone number (209) 753-4599. The guy said he was "Bob Aaron from Windows Technical Department". He said they have been receiving reports from my computer that indicate it has been downloading some kind of files. He wanted me to log on to my computer and run something (press the WINDOWS key and the R key) so he could show me a "hidden installation". When I kept questioning him, he put someone else on the line who said who was the "supervisor". I just hung up the phone.
