I received a call from this number claiming they were from the IRS. I called gave them the number in which they left a message on and then they hung up. I called back and they asked me the same question. Scary, freaked me out. Not sure how to report these scam artists.
Yesterday a recording Greeted me saying the irs wad suing me and to call 210 8074287 since it had an area code I was off my guard and called back a man with heavy accent asked for my phone number I said he should know everything about it and he was a fraud then reported to irs att would not do anything even take a report nothing and will all their resources they could be doing such s service to people I can only imagine what a joke it must be to these wiseguys SHAME I hope they haven't ripped off elderly and innocent people
The new SCAM for this number in 2015 is caller ID shows the call is coming from 723-596-6554 and claims to be the IRS. The message that's left states:
'hello, this is the IRS we've been trying to reach you. This call is officially a final notice from IRS is filing the reason of this call is to inform you IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information on this claim number Please call immediately 210-807-4287. Thank you.' First off, that's a San Antonioni, TX number...this type of IRS issue would not come from TX, nor would it come from out of the blue!!
The voice used for the recording is a voice we're used to hearing on many legitimate phone systems so will it certainly make a lot of people fall for it. Don't do it people!! It's a scam!! The IRS will never inform you of any legal action over the phone. You'll get enough mail to kill many trees & you'll be VERY aware you have an issue with the IRS- it won't be a call out of the blue from an unknown number
Happened to me yesterday I cant believe they would be be so brazen to use the irs or any gov. Institution, att would not even take a report or help in anyway SAD this needs to go really public,nationally .HOW MANY INNOCENT VICTIMS MIGHT BE OUT THERE MAKES ME SICK
