This number showed up on my caller id numerous times. This morning I happened to pick up the phone. Heavy accent and very aggressive approach as many described on this blog. Thank you for the site to know that I am not the only one receiving this type of call.
The same type of call just occurred again with me. Same woman as on May 24th caller ID was V05240807430027. She talks to you like you don't know anything about computers. All they are trying to do is get access to your PC. Do NOT enable access from outside sources, no matter who they say they are. The caller ID I get is not McGraw Hill. Today's caller ID was V06010957350027. I told her not to call again and she said "I will." I hung up. I looked this number up and found it originates from Bronx, NY. That's all I have right now.
Extrememly aggressive male caller with Indian accent. I told him I was on every do-not-call list, that I knew it was a scam, and hung up. He called back 3 more times before I could add it to my blocked incoming call list.
Got called today..McGraw Hill was on the caller ID.....but someone, sounded like Chinese accent, a man...had my address and husbands name...wanting to scan my computer because of hackers on my street.....I hung up on him having heard of this scam before...
