Caller, sounds like a person from India, asked for husband by name, then claims he is in the tech support dept and calling about a problem with Windows on my computer. Wants me to sit at the computer to verify his info. Scary SCAM!! He sounds like most tech support people. Wonder how many poor folks are falling for this.
I received a call from this number this evening. All they said was good bye. It was an electronic sounding greeting. The caller ID said it was from: Hillary L. Grill.
Got a call from a heavily-accented man saying his company had a contract with Microsoft and my computer was reporting problems to them. He told me that if I sat in front of the computer he could show me what it was doing wrong. He claimed to have my Windows product number. The caller ID said L Hillary Grill LSCW. I even said Microsoft was going to "cut off my computer." I told him I thought it was a scam and there was no way I would cooperate with him and hung up. I was sure what he was going to try to do is have me give him remote access or ask for passwords or whatever. If you get a call like this, it has to be a scam ... flee.
I received a call from the same number today 2125458482 after ignoring it for a week or so and it was a foreign man stating he was from Microsoft and that my computer had been reported to them saying it had a virus. I asked him where he was from and he said New Jersey. I asked him what I was suppose to do and he stated for me to turn on my computer and he would tell me how to fix it. I replied "what do you think I am...stupid and do not call me again" and hung up. I am reporting this number, it's obviously some kind of scam and they will get someone who is dumb enough to believe it and then who knows what will happen!!! Caller BEWARE!!!
I just got the same call, a rude heavy accented man telling me i needed to be in front of my computer that he was from Windows. This is a SCAM, do not give them any information!!!!!!
DEFINITELY A SCAMMER. The caller ID is from a legitimate business and is spoofed by these [***]. They are preying on innocent folks. The old "MICROSOFT" scam.
