A call from this L.A. VOIP number arrived today. When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message. This is typical of robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) who use automated dialers to place calls.
According to this and other websites, the caller purports to offer a "free" cruise. This is one of many scams desperately seeking to separate victims from their hard-earned money, even on Labor Day!
DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM. DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.
Just called.. This is a new Los Angeles, "FREE CRUISE" number. They just need your credit car number and other personal information to process the prize. I have a whole series of Los Angeles numbers blocked. Guess I'll add this one.
didn't answer, no message, blocked them. Callback produces a robo answer telling you the survey is closed. This is another bull**it trick the scammers are using to bypass the DNC. Survey calls are legal so they call using the "survey" as a pretense and try and scam you with the old free cruise scam. The drop down menu needs a selection for SCAMMER.
IF ANYONE NEEDS TO REACH YOU NOWADAYS AND IT IS IMPORTANT, THE CALLER WILL LEAVE A MESSAGE. OTHERWISE IT'S NOT IMPORTANT. Especially if they are stalking your number and calling you every week. This company called me last week. I sent them to voicemail. They didn't leave a voice message. Then they called me again today. Also didn't leave a voice message. I am now blocking their number indefinitely
