A call from this L.A. VOIP number arrived today. When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message. This is typical of robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) who use automated dialers to place calls.
According to this and other websites, the caller purports to offer a "free" cruise. This is one of many scams desperately seeking to separate victims from their hard-earned money, even on Labor Day!
DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM. DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.
Called our cell phones most of the time and always 213 area code. Never leave a message.
They have different numbers with area code 213. After blocking/ adding to reject list, another 213 calls in.
Started wondering donotcall.gov really works or not.
This number continuously called me. I do not know anyone from this area code nor am I expecting a call from this area. I eventually answered for a second then hung up immediately. They did not call back. I am now blocking this number thanks to other's reports.
What possible thought process suggested that we called you, or your caller reads your posts here?
