Just got a call from 213-333-3206 claiming the whole "your gonna crash your computer" "using microsoft windows" "sending error reports" stuff. Told him it sounded like a scam and ended the call. Looked up the number and well you know the rest if you are reading this.
Received several calls from this number at my office, along with 3 other numbers back to back. (From same person). That stated they were pursuing a legal matter. When we told them to stop calling or we would call the police and Attorney General, they told us to call the police, FBI, whomever, that they would just call ALL DAY! But for now they have stopped for a few minutes... We shall see. Caller ID comes up as MGL BPO (213-333-3206), or Vertex (310-599-9211), or XFMT ODP (209-220-1908), or TACCESS (206-397-1126).
Got call from, guy (Eddie) with heavy Indian accent, I could barely understand him. Said my windows 7 computer was infected with a virus and wanted me to type in a web address for him to fix it. I hung up and he called back, I asked where in India he was and he said he was in Oregon, US. I asked where in Oregon and he said Oregon City. I said please put me on your do not call list and he hung up on me. Same call again from 1-209-220-1908, 1-310-599-9211 & 1-206-397-1126. Two of those numbers just played music, no person.
These jokers call once a week at least. At least string them along and f**k with them a little bit. When they get to the part about asking for the computer's ID code and so on...., that's where i tell them that the police are getting close to catching them and I know they are a BS scam!
I received a call from 1-213-333-3206 at a quarter to twelve in the morning. I didn't say any thing, I just listened. About six seconds later, I just heard an automated voice say "Goodbye," and that was it. I called the number back and I just got the usual "press the pound key" crap to take me of of their calling list. Although I really don't think it does any good.
