Just got a call from 213-333-3206 claiming the whole "your gonna crash your computer" "using microsoft windows" "sending error reports" stuff. Told him it sounded like a scam and ended the call. Looked up the number and well you know the rest if you are reading this.
Caller woke me up at 6:30 am this morning, female I could barely understand, saying she was with Microsoft support and they were showing that my computer was infected with several viruses and malware and was running slow. My computer is brand new, has good virus protection, and is not running slow. I asked the name of the company and she said G-Tech. I told her it was against the law in this state to call me before 8:00 am. She said she would call back after 8:00 am and I told her not to call me again.
Just received a call from MGL CPO 213-333-3206. This time I didn't answer. Yea!I've had calls from them before and they fit the discriptions given above.
