Just got a call from 213-333-3206 claiming the whole "your gonna crash your computer" "using microsoft windows" "sending error reports" stuff. Told him it sounded like a scam and ended the call. Looked up the number and well you know the rest if you are reading this.
just got a call from this number. called it back and pushed one to not get any more calls. dont think this will work but tried anyway. I just kept saying they had the wrong number, I said it 4 times and then hung up.
I got a call from these pests too, they are shame on the name of indians, they should be sent to jail for harrasmnet, they will keep insisting to get on the computer as if you are in deep trouble, I was polite in the begining but lost it and chewd him with all the bad words I had in my dictionry. He was piece of [***] the pest.
we should do something to track these pests and teach them a lesson.
Funny thing is, even after you tell them you know it's a scam, they will call you back and ask to speak to someone else. I started receiving calls from this number listed on the caller ID as MGL BPO. At the same time, I was receiving identical calls from "Vertex." When I finally answered the phone, and convinced the guy I wasn't taking his pitch seriously, he launched into profanity and threats (about a 2nd grade level). He was probably just frustrated at having to sit in a hot little room with 100 other guys all day and realizing that the scam business wasn't nearly as easy as he had been promised. During the discourse, when I accused him of being from India, he did say that he was calling from Bangladesh. It's been about 30 minutes since they've called, so maybe they finally got the message.
Received several calls from 213-333-3206. I finally answered a call that came after 9pm, and a female (heavy Indian accent) identified herself as a computer technician and reported that we had a problem with our windows operating system. I told her we don't run any windows systems and she assured me that the error message was being reported. Called the number back and heard a message to press 1 to be taken off their call list. How do these people get away with this?
