Just got a call from 213-333-3206 claiming the whole "your gonna crash your computer" "using microsoft windows" "sending error reports" stuff. Told him it sounded like a scam and ended the call. Looked up the number and well you know the rest if you are reading this.
Microsoft dosn't make phone calls to anyone, I have Call Display, a small amount added to your phone bill each month, check your Call Display when you get a call, then choose if you want to answer or not
These people continue to call even though they have been told not to. They call both my business and home telephone. THEY ARE A SCAM. My neighbors listened to them and ended up with their computer hacked!
I received a phone call from 213-333-3206. The person on the other end identified themselves as "Edgar" and stated that he worked for Microsoft and that my computer had just gotten infected by a virus and that it could/would shut down any moment and that he needed to instruct me on how to stop it. I asked him again who he was and who he thought I was. He then said "You are operating Windows, are you not?" I said no that I had a MAC and he hung up with out any goodbye, etc.
I recied a call from 213-333-3206. The person had an heavy accent; said he was from Microsoft and had an error report from my computer. I told him no he didn't and he kept saying okay...I told him "no...not okay" and asked why he was calling and what did he want...he ended up hanging up on me.
These are scammers. I'm on the DNC list and have reported this series of calls to the FTC.
The ID on the 1st call read VERTEX 310-559-9211, the caller sounded Indian and said that my windows computer had a problem. I told him I'm on the do not all list and hung up, there are others this scammer has called -
The same guy called a few minutes later, but this time the phone displayed MGL BPO 213-333-2306 and I was told me would call me when ever he likes. Again I am no the only one he is calling -
After I hung up, he called yet one more time, this time the phone displayed TACCESS 206-397-1126. And yet again I'm not the only one getting calls from these scammers -
