Make sure you have your passport ready since you will need to fly to a country overseas. Of course once there if you are caught you are then subject to their laws. As to threatening them, they know it is a hollow threat and they have heard it all.
Received call saying that I didn't pay taxes to the IRS in 2011 and was being charged with tax evasion. That the issue was turned over to the Dept. of the Treasury. If I did not pay what was due ($2,700), that the police were coming to my house to arrest me and lock me up for 6 months.
Same type of message for me. If I didn't call back I was in violation of the law and would be subject to a GRAND JURY trial. Didn't ask for myself or husband by name....I used my cell to call them back instead of house phone and a recording said that their number has been disconnected. Feel sorry for the elderly who fall victims to these scumbags!
Be very careful... do NOT answer the call, or call them back!!! Definitely a scam of some kind. I read about this... a Federal agency does NOT make calls like this!! They are TRYING to get you to call them back... Do NOT do it!! Just ignore it.
