I started getting calls today Sunday Nov 29 2009 It was a message saying "We wish you and your student had a nice Thanksgiving weekend. we hope to see your child tomorrow"(then the automated message continues) "to repeat this message press 1" (so I did press 1) now I'm worried about it. Got 2 calls so far.
Automated message saying they were from Shore high school (not sure on the Shore part) reminding that there is a back to school night on what I think was Thursday. Right when this was being said, another call from the same area code and first three digits called, a different automated message but again mentioning Shore high school.
This phone number calls my house 3-8 times per night. There is nobody on the phone. I have tried not answering, answering and waiting for someone to answer and letting my answering machine pick up. Nothing works!!!!
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU AT LEAST PICK UP THE PHONE WHEN THIS NUMBER CALLS. I JUST ANSWER AND HANG UP IMMEDIATELY. IF YOU DONT DO THIS, IT IS LIKE THEY NEVER CALLED YOU. IF YOU DO THIS, YOUR PHONE CARRIER SHOULD BE ABLE TO VERIFY WHEN AND HOW MANY CAALES ARE PLACED FROM 213-415-0018 TO YOUR PHONE.
Heres what i did today:
1. Call your phone co and file a nuisance report.
2. Register your phone # with the national
DO NOT CALL HOTLINE 1-888-382-1222.
File a complaint with them also reguarding this phone #213-415-0018.
This is two separate steps.
3. Call PAETEC COMMUNICATIONS INC. 1-877-340-2600.
This is the phone company that handles 213-415-0018.
Place a complaint with them.
I spoke to Melissa in Customer Service. I also let her know that I will be filing a report with my local police department.
4. FILE A REPORT WITH YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT!!!!
Tell them you are being harrassed.
ALL THESE STEPS MUST BE DONE IF YOU WANT TO HAVE RECOURCE AGAINST THIS COMPANY!!!!
Thank you for the info. I have been receiving two messages per day about a 1st grade child and a kindergartner missing class. I not only don't have kids, but the actual school called me last week to ask if they had the right number.
Based on your suggestion, I called this #:

And informed them that the Teleparent is calling the incorrect number. For all I know these two children could be kidnapped and the parent does not know. It seems odd that a kindergartner and 1st grade child would be missing class and a parent not calling in on their behalf.
I spoke with a gentleman that said he would have them look into it and that they would try to contact the school to see if they can notify them that they have the incorrect number. I hope this stops these calls. They have been going on for over a week now...
I just got a new phone number and I am getting daily, sometimes several times daily, automated voicemail messages from this number (213) 415 0018 that is based in Los Angeles from a "Nate's Empowerment School" regarding my daughter Vicenia's 12th grade prom, cell phone use in class, etc. (obviously this is a wrong number). I try calling the number back but a message says that it's disconnected. Other times, I get a family who doesn't speak English and who claims that they're not calling me. Thanks for the helpful tips, but nothing's worked so far. I registered with the Do Not Call Hotline. I've called Paetec Communications four times now; their service representatives have vowed to email their vendor who uses this number and to put my number on a do not call list, but still, I get the calls. Any other tips?
