ok i have some info, I work for acs, and yes i am a bill collector, if your numbers in the system its because when the account was forwarded to us for collection it was attached to the file, maybe in the process of switching numbers u got a former debtors number or simply you are the debtor, i can say that yea some of my co workers are harsh but you also have to understand what we deal with, crazy mean debtors who feel like they can spend $10k and just never pay the bill and curse me out in the process for calling their house, well hello you owe thousands of dollars what do u want the credit cards to do just wait til you feel like paying, personally im not rude to people on the phone unless they start with me my all time favorite why dont you pay my bill for me so you can stop calling, normally when you say take the number we do at least i do, we are no way affiliated with NCO, and it is not illegal to call a cell phone as long as you have permission from the debtor, all i have to say is pay your bill and we wont call you anymore
Your office has been calling my phone # 503-366-4051 and leaving a collection message for "Duncan Johnson." I am not that person, have never heard of that person and I would like to politely request that you folks remove my phone number from your system and discontinue leaving messages for him on my phone. Like you, I prefer to be nice but if this continues, I will file a complaint with the Attorney General as I do consider it to be harassment.
I moved into this home keeping the same number the previous owners had, but now I am getting this harassing phone calls lately, and when I explain to them the situation they are completely rude to me. This is not fair at all, how do I handle this?
