I keep getting harrasing phone calls from this number a strange man keeps saying hello than hangs up. Please if u see this number dont answer it . It seems like a scam
Oxford treated me very well. they never threatened suit and in fact convince me that paying a bill wher ei borrowed the money was a good thing. Why is everyone complaining about paying a bill they owe??
Well you must be the exception to ALL the other complaints on this number. Clearly you didn't read many of the posts, especially the ones where the people who were being called did not owe any debt!
Regardless of if you think you owe a bill or not, if the person calling you is not rude to you FIRST, just be nice. They are not sitting around trying to "get you" , just doing a job. So if it was an accident or out of date or even if you intend on hanging up, Show people some respect if they are being nice to you! I cannot believe that a person said call them up and harass them! You don't know who you are taking your frustration out on, and I bet a great deal of the time, they don't deserve it. If someone treats you badly when they call you, then be adult enough to complain about it, and its fine if you yell at that person. But Don't call random people and purposefully harass them regardless of if its the right target.
Everyone should treat everyone with respect regardless of what end of the phone you are on.
Sorry, but any company who blatanly disregards the FDCPA as much as has been reported here doesn't deserve any courtesy from those they call. Of course if a person owes a debt, they should pay it (to the proper company they actually owe it to). But why should people be nice to those who harass them at work, tell family members they are going to sue, and refuse to validate these supposed debts?
