same thing happened to me today. Told them I was at work (I was) yet they kept asking whether I had my personal home computer in front of me, even after I said I didn't. when I asked for the company name, they did tell me, but I couldn't understand what either the rep or supervisor was saying... I told them this, that I couldn't understand their English, but they insisted on repeating it over and over again. They didn't quit even after I asked themt o stop and listen to me, and I asked whether they understood English or not. Asked where they were located, and I think they said "Europe City" or something like that. Hung up on them when they wouldn't quit even after I told them a dozen times that I wasn't interested.

A guy with an Indian accent said he was technical support calling about my Windows . . . and I use a Mac but I didn't tell him that - DON'T OFFER THEM ANY INFO, IT ONLY HELPS THEM.
Just received phone call from this number. wanted access to my computer because he said I had an unknown virus and he needed access to it to remove the virus. said he was from windows and he was receiving error messages from my computer. I immediately hung up and did a scan on my computer..... its fine nothing wrong with it.
It is definitely not alright. I hope you did not comply with his/her request. If you did, you better get your computer checked by a reputable technician.
