same thing happened to me today. Told them I was at work (I was) yet they kept asking whether I had my personal home computer in front of me, even after I said I didn't. when I asked for the company name, they did tell me, but I couldn't understand what either the rep or supervisor was saying... I told them this, that I couldn't understand their English, but they insisted on repeating it over and over again. They didn't quit even after I asked themt o stop and listen to me, and I asked whether they understood English or not. Asked where they were located, and I think they said "Europe City" or something like that. Hung up on them when they wouldn't quit even after I told them a dozen times that I wasn't interested.
Just received a call from a heavily accented Indian man, he stated that he was from tech support and that there was a virus on my computer and if I could turn on my computer, he could help me on his end. I asked him what company he was tech support at, he mumble something. When I tried to ask him to take me off his phone list, he tried to talk over me. I hung up on him. Caller ID was just Pennsylvania.
Young fool called a few days ago and said he was calling about my Microsoft computer, and when I said, "What about it?" he hung up. Just got another call from the same number, but I didn't answer it.
Stupid idiots called twice yesterday, one call right after the other. Was too busy to answer so I didn't. Then I looked up their number on Google and people report that it's a scam where they tell you they're with Microsoft.
I actually know someone that fell for this the last time and gave them her credit card number.
So I answered on the second call, and decided to have some fun at these a-holes expense before I block them.
Since I running Ubuntu I fustrated the hell out of them until they hung up. Haha I had fun wasting these [***] time.
