Almost every day I'm getting calls from this number and I don't know who it is or how they got my number as my home telephone number is unlisted and unpublished. They never leave a message. Out of curiosity I tried calling the number back but all I get is a general recording. Anyone have any idea who the heck this is?? This is getting very OLD and I'm tired of it. I whish they'd just leave me alone.
They called me at 2:13 PM yesterday. I did not pick up because I did not recognize the phone number.
A voicemail message appeared in my mailbox, but it was just 3 seconds of silence.
Wary, I searched for this phone number and found this page, so I called them back. I was very careful to not give them any personal information, and asked them to remove me from their call list. They wanted to confirm my name; the name they had on file for my number was incorrect and I did not give them my name.
They said it will take 30 days for them to process my request.
It is Bank of America and yes they do make courtesy calls. They are usually very nice and just want to make sure your account stays in good standing. I've been late a few times in the past and now they call if it's even a day off. They do not ask for a payment, they just want to help you to handle your business. If you ask them to validate your information, they will. It is not a scam.
This call came in on my land line at 7:29 on 2/1/10. I never take calls from numbers I don't know. I'm glad this service is available to track unwanted calls.
