yes, i got a call from thick accent woman also, same caller ID. sounded like a call center from back ground noise. she asked about a school that's not open yet. said she was trying to get all the schools on a GPS, but interested in what grade we were serving. But what's weird is that the number she called is not associated with a school, just me personally. She called my home, and knew my address. Very strange and kinda freaky!!!
So any one know anything more?
I am in the middle of selling this item on craigslist right now to this so called "vivian williams". She has been emailing with me for about 5 days now back n forth. Today, when i opened my email she is telling me that paypal is holding my funds that she has sent me until i pay the pick-up agent, out of my own pocket, for her pick-up. Once i western union the pick-up agent the funds and send the receipt to paypal MY funds will then be available???? YEAH RIGHT!!! So i looked into it a little further. I asked miss vivian if i could have the name of the pick-up company. She gave me the name of a lady and her address. This address does not exsist, however, she states they are located in ohio. So now i am getting phone calls from an ohio caller marked with this number 216-912-2002. They ask me ?'s, i tell them to **ck off. I tried calling the number back and the recording was talking about selling navigation systems for cars, it is an idian lady on the recording. Heavy accent as everyone below has also stated. Could it be related??
So I just got a call from these guys at my office. All they wanted to confirm was the name of the business. I work at a college so all they asked is if we were a specific campus. They asked no further questions. Curiosity got the better of me and I looked up the phone number and came across this website. Upon digging further, this number belongs to Mahindra Satyam, an IT company based out of India with offices all over the world. This particular 216 number is based out of their Cleveland, Ohio office. They're an IT/Outsourcing service and everything about the company and information seems legit.
Yes they keep calling & never leave a message. Best investment we made was buying a panasonic phone from Target for under $90 (3 handsets) allows you to block numbers & this # just made the list!
