This one takes the cake. First, I get a call from the above number. Recording, some Pakistani dude telling me that the IRS has filed a suit against me and that I needed to return the call. Having nothing better to do and in the mood for some Mumbai phone scammer fun, I call the number. Same [***] answers the call and advises me that he is an agent with the IRS and that the call would be recorded. (All kinds of racket and screaming in the background, all in who knows what language...) I told him that was fine but the noise was bothersome, could he please move away from where they were sacrificing that poor cow. He apologizes for the ruckus and proceeds to advise me that IRS agents were en route to my home to seize my car and home and arrest everyone in my home for tax evasion. I tell him thanks for the heads-up, I need to get off the phone and make sure all of my weapons are loaded and ready for the assault. I could go on and on but of course he moves on to the point where he could make all of that go away. He would briefly put me on hold to call the courthouse and put a stop to everything if I could kindly be ready with all of my banking information when he returned to the line. I went ahead and disconnected at this point, but I am just buttstounded that these scammers have dumbed themselves down this far. Hilarious...
Eddie you crack me up. I had the same experience but they never got that far with me. They asked for my last name and I said you have my last name you call me. I could hardly understand the guy like you said it sounded like he was in some kind of Indian festival. He then put me on hold and came back and said we have the wrong person and hung up. I thought it was over but then I got three more calls so I called knowing it was a scam. They once again was ask to give them my name I told them you called me three times you should know my name. I told him do you know it's illegal to impersonate IRS officer? He blew up yelled at yelled at me in his language and told me to [***] and hung up on me. Now I was mad so I called to file a complaint to see what would happen. So I asked for a supervisor he thought for a minute and claimed he was the supervisor. I knew he wasn't but whatever so I said I did not like being talked to like that and he hung up on me again. So I kept getting the same person when I called so I figured I would get a little revenge. I have a 40 minute drive home from work so I called this person 25 times and hung up on him the final call he picked up and asked me Why do you call this number...Really? These people are the trash of this world and are cowards. Please do not give any of your information to them. waste there time if you want but do not believe a word they say. This is a SCAM!!!!!
