Robo call asked that I press one to speak with a representative. The robo said this was my final notice about speaking with someone to lower my credit card interest rates. I pressed one to speak with a rep. She asked me if I had balances over $4,000, if at least $3,500 of that was one one card and if I was current on at least one card. She asked me to give her the name of the bank that has the highest card balance. When I suggested that she called me and should have all of that Info, she responded that she represents MasterCard and visa and all the bank issuers are required by the 2009 law to contact all cardholders at least twice a year to discuss ways to lower the cardholder's interest rate. When I asked the name of her company, and mentioned that if this was a legit call, my credit card bank would have least pre screened me as one one who carried a balance and would have supplied all of the details to her, she didn't respond. I said I was too busy to speak right now and asked for a number where I could call her back. She hung up on me. When I *69 the number that called me, it was listed as a number that does not accept incoming calls at the request of the customer.
Voice recorded call suggesting that this is my last chance to consolidate my credit card accounts at a rate as low as 6%. Strangely, I don't owe any balance on any of my cards. Another BS automated piece of crap...
