Scammers from India telling folks their computer has been hacked and they are here to save the day if only you will let them log on with you to remove the threat. Told me to go to hell when I said I did not have a windows computer.
Received a call from this number about 10:50 this morning. I did not answer and they left no message. I am a senior citizen and placed my number on the "do not call" list but it is not working.
These are cybercriminals attempting to get control of your computer and steal your personal identifying information. They do not follow (nor participate in) the DNC list--which only applies to legitimate telemarketers.
They call several times a week and nobody says anything I told them I was on the do not call list and to remove my number. how can I get these people to stop calling. Disruptive and my privacy is being invaded on a weekly basis .
