I received a call from this number -- rep said he was from Birch Communications. Tried to say my boss entered into a contract with his company.... when I advised him we were in a contract with AT & T -- he said we would have to pay all the fines and charges for not fulfilling the contract my boss supposedly entered into with them [he did not]. When I told the Birch Communications rep I was going to call AT&T to look into this matter -- he said he would do us a favor by cancelling the alleged new account and all the back charges due. Then he quickly hung up!
Received call this evening from this number: 302-257-5672. No one on the other end, or at least not willing to speak after I said "Hello" twice. I hung up when no response to my salutation. IF this is indeed from ANY kind of Telemarketing or Sales company, with the call coming in to my home at 2056 (8:56pm) they were cutting it very close to the end of the time where these calls are legal. ANYTHING BEFORE 0900 or after 2100 (9pm) is strictly forbidden by both FTC & FCC rules. Caller ID listed call as coming in from Dover, DE.
Another tele-pest. No telephone carrier will work with these people to reduce or save you on any
monthly billing. You can bet they will ask for your banking information before starting any service.
