Didn't answer because I didn't know the number. They left a voicemail claiming to be from Bank of America letting me know they froze my account due to suspicious activity wanting me to call 1-877-451-4602. They knew my last 4 digits, but I have had no activity in the last couple weeks, so I knew it couldn't be real.
If you call the number back, it tells you it is no longer used and they refer you to an 800 number. It is Bank of America, but had no idea why they called after looking up my phone number
Rejected the call. Jessica (who didn't get the company name out so I could hear it) left a voicemail saying that they wanted to confirm information about a financial request in my name. They gave me a number to call (1-888-231-6262) and a PIN. This is most likely a hoax.
Ouch - BofA is looking out for you by calling and letting you know someone is trying to open a cc in your name and you are ignoring it? what do you need, a flashing neon sign?
this is a phishing scam, do not respond to it. do not call the 800 # they leave you, they are trying to get either your credit card # for which they won't ask for a specific credit card or your social security.
IGNORE THIS CALL
