Called and wanted to know the make and year of my latest vehicle I told them it was a 1990 Toyota (I never owned a Toyota) and they wanted to extend the warranty on it what a scam !!!!!
I told them I was not interested but had a friend that was looking to extend theirs Mike Cox and gave them his phone number he is the attorney general for the State of Michigan.
I hope they call them!!!!!
A call came from "unknown caller" 305-408-6643 telling me that my auto warranty about to expire. Select 1 or your case will be closed and your vehicle will be reclassified. I don't have any warranty on any of our cars, but I wanted to give them hard time as I knew they were telemarketers. I pressed 1 and a man said "what year and make is your car?" I said "what car?" "I don't know who is calling". He hung up in a hurry. We are on the DO NOT CALL list, so this is a violation.
Call from "out of area" telling me that my auto warranty was about to expire. I pressed 1, since last time we got a call from them I pressed 0 to be taken off the list and that obviously didn't work. I gave him a year/make of a car, and then asked who he was calling for. He said Warranty Service Center. I'm on the do not call registry as well, and shouldn't have gotten this. Got the same automated "your car warranty is about to expire..and something to the effect if you hang up it will be canceled." I pushed 1 and a man with a Nigerian accent asked what the make and model was of my car. I replied, "wouldn't you know that information since you seem to have information regarding my warranty?" I told him I was going to call my car dealer to verify his company is legitimate and call him back if necessary and he hung up on me.
I just got a call from the same place, I have had extensive after market parts put on my car and they said they still cover the whole thing, I laughed. I asked what website are they connected to, he hung up. Sounds like a scam.
