Called and wanted to know the make and year of my latest vehicle I told them it was a 1990 Toyota (I never owned a Toyota) and they wanted to extend the warranty on it what a scam !!!!!
I told them I was not interested but had a friend that was looking to extend theirs Mike Cox and gave them his phone number he is the attorney general for the State of Michigan.
I hope they call them!!!!!

I received a call 11/20/08 at 11:15 AM from this number. As I wanted to tell a human to put me on their do not call back list, I pressed #1 to speak to a representative about my expiring car warranty.
A male voice came on and asked me for the make and model of my car, to which I responded, "Well since you are notifying about its warranty about to expire, you tell ME which car it is."
He hung up on me. I was ticked as I didn't get to tell him not to call me back.
So I called the number from my caller ID.
A computer generated operator came on telling me this phone number is either disconnected or no longer in service.
Interesting.
rec'd automated msg saying that my car warranty was to expire and if you hang up it will be cancelled, then it tells you to hit 1, when I hit one a woman answered, what is your car model and year. I asked if you called me shouldn't you have this information and is this legitimate and she said that it was legitimate, but because I "had an attitude" that I would never know and she hung up on ME! These rude people are obviously out to scam us and waste our time.
I agree with Sarah who posted earlier that we should file a complaint with the governments do not call website. I follwed the link she provided:

I recieved a call from 305-408-6643. A professional sounding, soft spoken, and very polite gentleman caller offered to extend my auto dealership warranty. He asked the make and model of my car. I said I did not have a dealer warranty with the purchase of my 1999 used Blazer. He told me it was not a problem. He could provide a warranty for me anyway. He said he could offer me a life time, bumper to bumper, warranty with no deductable and it would transfer to a new owner if I ever sold the car. The cost of this life time warranty was only $2500. He offered me a choice of three interest free payment plan options. $650, $550 or $450 down. The one with $450 down required 11 monthy installments of $188.18 or 17 monthly installments of $121.76. He said the warranty came with a 30 day review with money back in those 30 days if not satisfied. SOUNDED TO GOOD TO BE TRUE! How could any company make money with coverage like that? I was told that the warranty was offered through "Direct Choice". He then asked me for my credit card number so he could set up the payments. I explained that my husband was not home and that I needed to discuss a $2500 purchase with him before I could put it on a credit card. I asked if I could call him back in one hour or that he call me back. His entire attitude changed. He was no longer polite and soft spoken. He became loud and very rude, demanding the credit card payment right then. He got me so upset that I had to hang up on him.
