I just got a call from 305-587-2091. They said that they were calling to lower my interest rate and that they were calling from cardmember services. I asked the guy if he was calling from my visa card services, how come he didnt know what my current interest rate was and he hung up. I called back and got the message that this number is an unattended mailbox and it could not recive any incoming calls>>>SCAMS..
received a call from this number on 1/31/2012 at 4:16PM but didn't answer since the number was not familiar and no message was left so likely a spam call
This is the second day in a row I got this call. Same thing, from "Rachel" at Lower Interest. I just submitted a complaint online with the Do Not Call registry. I submitted a complaint for the call I got today and a separate one for the call I received yesterday. I recommend everyone do it. The call from today was 305-587-2091 the call yesterday was from 971-217-9515. Both say "Lower Interest" on ID. I hope they bust these people!
This is a 'robocall'. The script begins with 'there is no problem with your credit card but...' and then goes on about lowering my interest rate, that time is limited and that I should consider this my last call. There is an option to be removed from their list. It does not work. I have held for an operator and when I got through they hung up as soon as I asked who they were or asked them stop calling. I get numerous calls a day with this very same script. The number they are calling from changes every few days.
