What a bunch of fink-o-sauruses! If they WERE legit, they'd call during regular business hours! BLOCKED these idiots. They had the gall to call on 5/22/17 @ 8:19 PM CT! Seriously??? Jerk$
She was calling from DTE AND Consumers gas and electric... RIGHT!
She was looking for the account holder in the house. I asked her if she had the name she was looking for since she did call me... confusion ensued.
As did my need to run her in circles.
Asked for someone to who speaks Spanish (note I answered the phone in English), proceeded to ask for someone who speaks French when they got me a clown to speak Spanish. Of course after 15 minutes of them wasting their time, I asked for Spanish AGAIN.
Finally blew up at the Spanish speaking scammer about not speaking English!
When will these scammers learn? I will waste as much of their time as can, aggravate them beyond belief and laugh at their stupidity.
I'm pretty sure these calls are either an illegitimate phishing attempt or an effort to get companies to switch to a lesser-known alternative supplier that isn't as cheap as promised.
Time and mood permitting, I respond in one of two general ways:
1) As above, I'll tell them something silly ("Oh, we don't have gas/long distance/etc. service."), or
2) I'll be very blunt and tell them something along the lines of, "I'm sorry, too many scammers call us. Company policy is not to discuss this over the phone. Please stop calling us."
