There is a National do not call Registry for marketers ( 888-382-1222). Got the no. from Verizon. The man told me it takes 30 days to go effected. Somebody also said you have to call yearly. Just did it last week.
Consumers Power and DTE Energy .............are both LEGIT business in Michigan. I have Consumers for Gas in Detroit and Electric in Northern Michigan,..........and DTE Energy for Electric in Detroit and as a Gas supplier in Northern Michigan. BUT.............this outfit is trying to get you to switch " suppliers" of gas which is allowed in Michigan. However, Steer Clear of these phone people. Usually you'll get a letter from "alternative energy suppliers" not a phone call.
