Microsoft Windows Tech Support. Calls claimed to be Microsoft employees, with employee#'s, and claiming to know license# etc. SCAM-SCAM-SCAM!! This scam has been around a long time, and all over the internet. They are good! Don't fall for it. Don't let anybody remotely connect to your computer! Just hang up. Had a bit of fun making them hold, playing dumb, and making them give me "proof" of address, phone#, IP address, license#, etc. ALL LIES! Just reported to the FTC, the REAL Microsoft, the national DNC list, and the state Attorney General. Sadly, it was most likely a waste of my time--and won't help anyone from falling victim to these skeezer-scammers. Oh well, did what I could with it... i got a call from this number but I didn't answer if its a number I don't recognize I don't answer but I still get tired of getting all those unwanted phone calls& I've put my number on the do not call list several times but that don't seem to work so what else is there to do I'm sick & tired of these stupid phone calls looks like they would get hint after awhile when I don't answer the phone sometimes I get these crazy calls back to back.any suggestions would be helpful
Just received a call from 315-370-7608. Informed me that my windows computer had hit their windows server with a virus incident and that they were technicians calling to help. When I suggested that he may be a fraud, he hung up. If folks could spend even 1/10 of the time they spend on devising scams focusing on ways to actually help people, this world would look a whole lot different.
a foreign sounding man said he was calling about my computer. I said "what?" and he hung up. Caller ID said Robert Johnson and the phone number listed was 1-315-370-7608.
Got the same call from 315-370-7608 claimed to be a windows tech and said my computer was infected with a virus. Man had a thick foreign accent. When I questioned him he hung up.BEWARE !!!
