Microsoft Windows Tech Support. Calls claimed to be Microsoft employees, with employee#'s, and claiming to know license# etc. SCAM-SCAM-SCAM!! This scam has been around a long time, and all over the internet. They are good! Don't fall for it. Don't let anybody remotely connect to your computer! Just hang up. Had a bit of fun making them hold, playing dumb, and making them give me "proof" of address, phone#, IP address, license#, etc. ALL LIES! Just reported to the FTC, the REAL Microsoft, the national DNC list, and the state Attorney General. Sadly, it was most likely a waste of my time--and won't help anyone from falling victim to these skeezer-scammers. Oh well, did what I could with it... Just received call today from 315-370-7608 claiming he is from Microsoft. He claimed some one is hacking my computer and have very dangerous virus in my computer. He wanted me to open my computer and let him check it out. He did have heavy foreign accent. I hung up.
Same here. 315-370-7608 called claiming to be Microsoft. Said I had a virus. I told him my computer was fine. He argued. Humored him for a bit, then hung up.
