Called me and I foolishly gave them info on my card, then called my card company to stop my card and issue another, just had a feeling that they were not on the level. Then discovered all these comments, glad I stopped my card!!
These jerkwads call all the time. I tried asking them to take my number off of their list to no avail, so now I just have fun with them when they call. I give answers that I am "eligible" for their services (over 12% interest rate and over $4K in debt to card companies). Next, I give them a name and voice to go with it. Sometimes I am the male crack or meth head, other I am the little old lady who is financially abused by her live-in meth or crack head son. I lead them on and waste as much of their time as I feel like. The old lady is fun for that is she (I) will go on about how many credit cards I have. I go on and on and on, listing as many cards as I can think of stores that have cards, even though the operator is trying in vain to get control of the conversation and steer me back to the purpose of the call. After a while, I break down crying and tell them that I try and pay my cards back up but my SOB crack or meth head son keeps running them back up and maxing them out. Then I will go on for a while about how he sexually abuses me at night too. The really good calls, the operator is totally dumbfounded and doesn't know what to say.
If these a-holes refuse to take me off their list, I figure I'll waste their time and cost them some productivity.
I got another call from Tennessee. I have put all 3 numbers on block but I am not sure that is going to work. They may be routing through another number. I am sure this may have happened to them before and chances are I will get a call from another number. Thats ok though. I can block up to 30 numbers so maybe they will get tired of the recording and quit bothering me.
