Called me and I foolishly gave them info on my card, then called my card company to stop my card and issue another, just had a feeling that they were not on the level. Then discovered all these comments, glad I stopped my card!!
Got the same call around 2:30 p.m. CST. Automated message mentioning lowering interest on my credit card. Said to push 9 to speak with live operator. I pressed 9 then it just rang forever. called number back and said the caller was unavailable....
Automated response something about lowering my credit card rate. *Push 9*
Sit on hold for 1-2 minutes.
"Mary" picked up and asked me if I was holding to hear about the lower credit rates, but had to verify I still owed more than $4000 on credit cards of online debt. I replied "No". She (rudely) then asked me if my credit cards were higher than 13% interest. I replied "No". She said "Ok, Bye" and hung up on me.
Rude! I wanted to ask her what company she worked for and to never call me again, but she hung up before I got more than a couple words out.
Clearly this smells like a scam/predatory/bait&switch junk call. .
I am getting this call everyday and the people on the other end are so rude. I have asked that my number be removed and when you ask them to remove the idiots juxst hang up. I am tired of this crap. Stop it now. I am onteh DO NOT CALL lsit so why am I still getting these calls. I wish they would hold on long enough so that I can really give them a peice of my mind. AGGREVATED AS HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
