Just got a call from this # about my commuter has a virus, that's funny cause I don't own a computer, I use my phone for all my internet needs!!! Total Scammers NEVER give anyone your info over the phone like that, a ligit company doesn't do that so please don't give anyone access to your computer!!
Same story as everyone else - same return number given - Says his name was Mike Rosae ("Rose-AY"). VERY thick accent from India - said he was in Brooklyn. I said "Sure, I guess you want remote access to my PC and then YOU are going to become my hacker problem?".. he said "ma'am - think about it - would a hacker call you and tell you they were going to hack you" (or something like that - accent was soooo thick)... i said - well of course! how else are you going to gain access... and isnt it funny that my PC couldnt possibly tell you my WINDOWS problem since I have a MAC?" ... he suggested i let him 'make sure it was a mac'... HA.... i realllllly hope in this day and age ppl are not this gullible... i only indulged the conversation because i was bored at work.... LOL
March 10, 2014, same as other posts. I made a complaint with the New York State Attorney General Internet office as they represented themselves as being from Brooklyn.
Just got a call from that same number..did not answered ..came to my computer and i found all this reports!! Widowa should do something about this people! catch them!! stop them..please..
I recvd the same call yesterday,sounds similar to everyone elses.they had me look at all my viruses and said it would cost 100.00 to fix,said I was on a fixed income,he got mad and said people in Africa are poor too cussed me out and hung up
