i got a call from the same number Mr John said we are receiving error and warning from your computer i did't
believe him but when he said let me show once ,then you would be able to believe me ,, i thought lets see
them he show me each and everything which he was talking about and then he fixed my computer ,,and he told his company name so they are good ,,
I hope you formatted your hard drive and reinstalled your operating system after letting them "fix" your computer by infecting it.

I just received an identical call from this same phone number. They were "certified" by Microsoft and wanted to help clean up my computer. For $363, they would install Microsoft Security Essential and PC Matic. MES is a free program and PC Matic is not endorsed by Microsoft.
Be very cautious!
This scam has been going on forever. They won't install any useful programs on your computer - they will install spyware and steal any credit card numbers, account names and passwords, and contacts on your computer. Probably the only safe use for your computer after they have had their way with it is as a paperweight.
My husband received the call and let them into the system. I traced the phone call, but was not able to find the name of the owner. The call originated in New York.

I got the same call and the same hefty price (for life yet!)
I first got a fellow named Will and then was transferred to Jack, a person with "excellent" technical skills." Both had strong accent. Both had strong accents. I asked Jack to show me their website and he (using TeamViewer, brought up a well done/excellent website. Jack insisted that he show it all to me, but he wouldn't give me the full name, and I thought the IRed name at the top -- quite big --- could be googled. I couldn't find it, and it didn't show up in my "history" of websites Jack was quite excited talking about his firm's close ties with Microsoft and pictures of the staff, all trained by Microsoft. He wanted a quick decision and I told him I didn't work that way and suddenly the details of his offer were erased from my screen. He did leave his call-back number and Will's name and that's what led me to this page, Jack typed the following on my screen and I saved it. Happy to share:
