i got a call from the same number Mr John said we are receiving error and warning from your computer i did't
believe him but when he said let me show once ,then you would be able to believe me ,, i thought lets see
them he show me each and everything which he was talking about and then he fixed my computer ,,and he told his company name so they are good ,,
Haven't gotten any calls like this but I will say this... Every time My computer tries to send a report it always bottoms out and errors from their end so eyah, Msoft is Not getting so called error messages from your computer. That's Waaay to organized and functional for them to pull off. lol
Anyway, I'll keep my ear to the ground in case I hear something. Not much good though since I don't bother answering the phone. =\
Still doing same thing. I have received 2 calls so far. The first (woman - foreign accent) implied she was from Microsoft and they had noticed a "booting problem" on my computer. Knowing it was a scam - I hung up (after saying a few unkind words to let her know what I thought - scam). Wished then I had let on longer to see what I was asked to do.
2nd call after one day. Man (same foreign accent) basically said same thing in other words. Like others - wanted to lead me into the run command. At that point I asked for the name of the company and the phone # (to see if I was given same or what would happen). Said it was IRED Tech Support and this number. Told him I was reporting him and hung up. Called back and was answered - so number is legit. Can't they be shut down? looking up the number led me here........
