They called me today as well... the mans name was Brandon Watson (middle eastern accent), said i would be arrested on monday and be dragged to the court house. That a criminal like me needed to be in jail.. i told them i would see them on monday to come on...I know this is a scam... i have done looked up all of the numbers
This is identical to what they are doing to me. The numbers I am getting calls from are the same in your message and the time period is the same too. I reported to the FTC and will again; they quit and then started back up. A pain in the rear end.
I had the same experience you had and they are relentless. They threatened to "come " to my work and deliver papers....they called my work once and they told me that men were coming to my door or something.Yet, they can't give specific dates of when it occurred or anything else-will only release it to attorney.What a joke, I just wish they would stop calling me,
I RECEIVED A CALL ALSO TODAY. FIRST IT WAS A LADY WITH A HEAVY ACCENT THAT LEFT A RUDE VOICEMAIL SO I CALLED BACK AND ENDED UP SPEAKING WITH A MAN WITH A HEAVY ACCENT BECAUSE OF THEIR ACCENTS I COULDNT CATCH NEITHER NAME BUT HE WAS TELLING ME I BANK WITH NETSPEND AND I LOOKED THEM UP AND ITS A PREPAID VISA COMPANY. HE STATED SOMEONE SUPPOSEDLY DEPOSITED $500 INTO MY ACCOUNT AND I HAVE YET TO PAY THEM BACK SO THEY HAVE A LAWSUIT AGAINST ME. SUSPOSEDLY THE POLICE IS GOING TO PICK ME UP FROM MY JOB ON MONDAY I KEPT ASKING QUESTIONS CAUSE IM LIKE CLEARLY ITS SOME IDENTITY THEFT GOING ON CAUSE I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS AND HE KEPT SAYING WE WILL SEE YOU IN COURT ON TUESDAY AND I KEPT ASKING FOR A TIME BUT HE INSISTED ON MONDAY THE POLICE IS GOING TO PICK ME UP AND I WILL GO TO COURT FROM JAIL. WITH EVERY QUESTION I ASKED HE SEEMED TO GET MORE MORE AGGITATED UNTIL HE HUNG UP ON ME. IS THERE A NUMBER I CAN CALL TO REPORT THIS???
I got the same call from watkins. He told me that I owe $8000 and they were going to arrest me thursday morning. I finally "agreed" to pay the $870 to settle my case and see what they said. They wanted me to fax a copy of my drivers license and letter stating I am paying this to fufill my debt...etc...I then said well my name is Melissa McManny and I calling from channel 10 news about victims of fraud and told him about the hundreds of people he was trying to scam money out of and he mumbled something and hung up the phone on me and blocked my number.
