I have gotten several calls from this number. I never answered but after reading some of the comments I decided to give them a call back and have some fun. It took less than 30 seconds for the guy to start swearing making us most valiant attempt at combining different offensive terms lol! I have a tweak on my iPhone that allows me to record my phone calls and I have to say too bad we can post recordings here. Y'all would have a blast playing the conversation over and over again!
These people have been calling me the last two years.They say the are with the US government and have a grant for me.One time I told the dude to lose my number and he said "Who do you think I am that I will forget your number?".And today at 12:08 pm est 3/20/15 this Indian lady said the same whole scammery I had heard previously before and immediately asked how she had my number and she just repeated that whole "we have a grant BS" I said to take my number off whatever fIle or list it's on and she asked "Why?". Wheb i said stop calling me she said whatver and hung up.These people are scum and need to be stopped who knows how many people they've scammed money from.
Just received a call from this number, offer was a govt grant...was asked to call Johny Snow at 240-324-6145. reverse look up says it's a YMAX number...beware. I blocked the number on my cel phone. Who do i report it to?
This same scam had been calling me for more than 2 years. They call from different numbers all the time. I would think that since they are representing themselves as a government agency, the government would want to shut them down. I reported it and was told nothing could be done.
I got a call from this number this morning and it was a foreign-sounding voice (Indian, most likely) saying she was "from the U.S. government. She asked to validate my name, I did, and she said "you have been selected by the government to receive $8,000, okay(?), with no obligation to pay it back." I said, "yeah, I don't believe that" and hung up.
