Got a phone call from this number this afternoon, (and have it recorded!), stating that they are calling from the Internal Revenue Service, and when I called back, I asked, "the Untied States Internal Revenue Service?", to which he replied, "of course, what other Internal Revenue Service is there". When I told him I had there message on recording, he hung up. This needs to be reoriented to the Federal Authorities for investigation. This is ridiculous.
I got a call from them too. But, I know 100% that it is a scam. Because I have dealt with other similar scam calls about IRS and ultimately found out they were scams which would ultimately ask you top deposit money into a Bank Account and things like that.
So, guys, don't worry. Just cut the call and forget about iy.
Also, Please do note that you will get other calls like You are going to be arrested by Police ..... etc.
The idiot is an Asian but will give you an American's name whne you ask for identity.
Don't worry about these type of calls.
Neither IRS nor the Police will telephone you like this.
Same thing IRS scam and they say the feds are coming to arrest me within the hour! I love to mess with these idiots by saying oh please how much do I owe, I can give you a credit card right now....I never do of course, then I hang up on them and keep calling them back and not saying anything....they start sreaming HELLO in the phone and I just let the phone sit there on my desk....give them a taste of their own medicine...this is of course if I am really bored : )
Got the same call several times. Decided to answer it. Asked the guy to give me the name of the court where the suit was filed so I could have my attorney look into it; said they didn't have to file it in court. Asked for documentation to support the claim; said he didn't have to provide that. Asked him when he went to visit his mother if she hugged him and told him how proud she was that he had grown up to become the scam artist she always knew he would become. He hung up. Haven't heard from them since.
