I forgot to say that the call originated from 724-596-6594. And I was told to call 202-864-1229 by a recording of a lady's voice. (Possibly computerized)
The caller ID was from a number in Mexico 722-593-6534 did not answer so the answering machine got the robo call saying: "the IRS is suing you, this is our last attempt at notifying you call 360-214-3607 immediately!"
Yeah right, whatever!
I just received a message on my cell phone from (725) 595-6544 informing me that it was the IRS and been trying to reach me because the IRS was filing suit against me. I was instructed to call (360) 214-3607 immediately. Know that this is not the manner in which the Federal Government does business I quickly came to the Internet to search the phone number provided. Please do not fall for this scam! If you have doubts, call the IRS on a number provided by a reputable source or call the number provided on your tax forms. DO NOT RETURN CALL TO THE NUMBER PROVIDED IN THIS SCAM!
I just got a phone call from area code 720 and asked me to call 360-214-3607 immediately because the IRS is suing me. I did call that number but noone picked up. I should've searched it up before making that call. Anyway, thanks for all the posts guys! Really helpful!
