I forgot to say that the call originated from 724-596-6594. And I was told to call 202-864-1229 by a recording of a lady's voice. (Possibly computerized)
Just received message on my land line home phone that IRS is suing us and we should call area code (360) 214-3607. Original message came from (724)596-6594 phone number.
Contact the IRS at http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/ and file a report or call 1.800.366.4484.
I just got the same call that I was being sued by the IRS and was instructed to call 360-214-3607. The phone # the call originated from was 684-216-5548 and the voice was computer generated, text to voice. Not even going to bother calling, clearly a scam.
Just received same message - said final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Services - we are filing a lawsuit against you. Callback # is 360-214-3607 on caller I'D as 287-674-0000. If they were going to sue me, I wouldn't have received my tax refund. Probably get charged $1,000 on your phone bill if you call that number back.
Received the same message as above.Icalled the Long beach Police Dept but they would not take my complaint.Told me my police dept would have to call them.Tried to report it to the IRS and tel co but could not get pass the menus so I am left with typing this.Frustrating.........
