Have been receiving multiple calls from this number as well as other numbers including one from a DC area code with the same message about the lawsuit the IRS is filing against me. It's a total scam. I called back and of course, it's a number that has been re-routed from India. You can hear everyone in the background talking - all with Indian accents, but they have very American names which they take off the IRS website. It's annoying as hell.
Received a call from this number 306-284-4863 saying they were from the IRS they are saying that i was going to be arrested. asked what the charge was and the caller said you will find out when you are arrested.
I just received a voicemail from 360-566-2212 and was asked to call this number (360-284-4863). Call was answered by a person with a thick accent claiming to be Brian Jackson with badge code number 8N2050928. He said I owed a lot of money and was being sued by the IRS. I hung up on him and quickly found this thread. It sounds like the IRS is well aware of these types of scams. I wish they would do more about tracking these people down and stopping it.
