Have been receiving multiple calls from this number as well as other numbers including one from a DC area code with the same message about the lawsuit the IRS is filing against me. It's a total scam. I called back and of course, it's a number that has been re-routed from India. You can hear everyone in the background talking - all with Indian accents, but they have very American names which they take off the IRS website. It's annoying as hell.
I was called 4 times on 10/14/15. I hung up on the first 3 calls and let the machine pick up the next one. This was the phone number they told me to call 360-284-4863.
Call said it was from Enumclaw, WA, and that the IRS was coming to get me (scary, scary). I hope there aren't people out there who would fall for this. I tried to call back but it wouldn't go through, so what do the scammers get out of this if you can't even reach them. When I have the time and inclination, Iove to spend time with telemarketers, just to spin them along.
