I just received a phone call from Phone # 360-566-2212 @ 12:57 June 10, 2015 (Vancouver, Wa) sayiing that the IRS is filing a law suit against me. They told me to call 360-450-0205. Figured it was a scam, I called from a different phone no.just to tell them off. It rang numberous time and I got a recording saying "The person you are trying to reach is not available at this time, please leave a message" I just hung up. I wish these people would stop! I have been on the do not call list for years! If you let the answering machine pick up they don't leave a message. Tired of running to the phone every hour to see who is calling!
I got a message from 360-450-0205 that it was the IRS suing us. I returned the call, but was very suspicious. We've had lots of little mistakes with our taxes and IRS always sendsa letter. In a very thick accent, almost impossible to understand, the man told me he wanted my husband. I asked what IRS office he was calling from and he said Washington, DC. Our son attends college in D.C. and area code is 202, so I was even more suspicious. I hung up and googled 360 and came across the IRS scam. I called the number again and a woman answered in a very thick accent. I asked for her supervisor. When she started BSing me, I told her if they "ever called my number again I would" at which point she hung up. I feel badly for people who fall for this. I am reporting them to our accountant and hopefully they can do something to put them out of business. Yes, they should be in jail!
Received this call on June 9. It was a recording message indicating IRS filing a law suit against us. It was from Vancouver, WA. Did not call back. Googled the number and found numerous reports of fraud.
