This information was in April issue of Costco magazine. I received same call last week. It was a recording
left on my answering machine.
They left an automated message claiming to be the IRS advising me that I am being sued. They said this was my final notice. No way! Sure hope no one falls for this nonsense!
Do not feel bad I called back one time too.If I am in any trouble I want to know what it is and fix it.Same thing IRS agent Smith with a very Indian accent wanted me to meet him at the court house so he could serve me.I said "where"? then he hung up.I reported it to the phone co.,police,irs.this is a call center probably in india taking advantage of elderly, sick or uneducated people.i would like to spit in there face and smack them with a shoe.(hitting someone w/a shoe in Indian culture is considered very bad). Its a scam going on all over the USA now.
good idea to mess with them.Blow a horn or a whistle when they answer or tell them their mother died and they need to rush to the local hospital.I would like to spit in their faces and smack them with a shoe.Dirtbags trying to take advantage of the elderly, sick and uneducated.
