left on my answering machine.
Just received a call on my unlisted business line which left the typical "IRS is filing a lawsuit" voice message referencing 360-489-6074. I had received a few of these in the past and since the calls came from legitimate looking numbers I blocked them. They must be getting wise to that since this latest call came from 135323237333.
Annoying as hell but they're likely coming from outside the country so there's nothing to do but block them and/or ignore them.
I just wonder if someone pretended to go along with them, and got the account number in which to wire the money, the police should then be able to trace these people and arrest them. Just a thought. I just got a call from an unknown number, so I let it go to VM. If it were really from the IRS, they sure as heck wouldn't be blocking their number. Some people have nothing better to do with their lives than to try and scam people. How about going out and working hard like the rest of us!
