My wife and I have been receiving calls from all of the above numbers and 565-248-4400, 229-380-9195, 989-854-2368, 126-271-6363, 404-226-7528, 503-902-8112, 321-304-9999, 270-326-8019, 406-219-2301, and no mater what you do, you can't get to a person to get the name of their company. If you press a number on your phone, they seem to use that as a tracer to have more people call you. Has anyone been able to get these numbers to someone who can stop this mess?
They got my number too, somehow. I'm on the cel-phone DNC list. It started with some recorded message about how there is not anything wrong with my credit card, it was about lowering my current rate to 6.8%. Did not mention what card. Also said it was from "Account Services". Said to "press one to find out more". Was suspicious, so I did. Put me through to a very ghetto sounding lady who aid she was from account services. I asked which card she was calling from. She refused to give a straight answer. When I asked about which card the rate decrease was on, she asked how many cards I had, and said that they could reduce the rate on all of them. I asked her if she could do me a favor, and she said "No, you can do me a favor and not push '1'. You sound like a [***]." I told ehr to remove me from their call list and hung up. Contacting BBB now as well.
THIS IS A SCAM.
I have called this number back and pressed "1" for the option to be removed from any future promotions which they say can take up to 72 hours. Two weeks later I have received over 3 phone calls per day from them. I decided to answer the call to complain about still being on their call list and one person stated they were offering to lower my interest rates on credit cards but when I ask for her name she kept on saying my name and then hung up on me. The other is alway Tom from promoting some free security system and when I state I am on the no call list he hangs up on me....only to call me back 1/2 hr later.
How do I stop this?!
I just pressed "ignore" and looked it up later. Glad I didn't answer because I'm on the DNC list as well; but it seems that doesn't mean anything anyway.
