The call I received from this number was for the "opportunity" to reduce my credit card interest rates to 6%...so my guess is they are phising for account information. Scam...
I have verizon wireless. you can block the call without it even ringing to you by accessing your online account and blocking it there. get a life people.
Thanks got call the other day.. I always google numbers.. Especially since I am on Do Not Call Registry. It said card services, I d on't back with chase.. Or any major bank..
I've been called by these people several times over the years. About 5 years ago they were calling me 4 or 5 times a day. I was watching my infant grandson at the time and every time they called, they woke him up so I got more and more angry as the calls continued for weeks, ignoring my requests to take me off their list and they couldn't care less that they were waking the baby.
I finally told a woman (one of the people that picks up after they make you hold forever) that I was keeping a whistle next to the phone and I was using it if they called again. She told me I was overreacting (with a very snotty voice) and said it's not that big a deal so, I said overreacting or not, if they call again, I will hold for a real person as long as it takes, and then I am blowing the whistle full blast into the phone and it would be HER fault if someone's eardrum was broken because SHE didn't get my number off the list. The calls stopped.
Here I am 5 years later and the calls are just starting again but I don't answer when I don't recognize the number.
I got a call and don't like it when someone just doesn't leave a message. I couldn't even find out who owns this number. Don't like calls from people who can't be known. Stop this from happening again.
